Technical Design
Working closely as a tech designer & product developer, Matthew has a deep knowledge of the lifecycle of a product and what it takes to carry it over the finish line & into production. From sourcing fabrics and checking lab dips to creating tech packs and managing spec sheets, Matthew has been involved in every part of the development process for a wide variety of product categories. Managing fittings & working with both overseas and domestic vendors alike, Matthew has clear insight into analyzing desired changes and communicating those clearly to our partnered vendors.
Collection Design
Designing collections for categories from uniform to runway, Matthew has gathered a wide range of skills to incorporate trend analysis, market research, customer profiling, etc . . . He understands the importance of functionality and innovation when designing industry specific workwear, while grasping the importance and fundamentals of trend / market research to also design fashion forward garments with customer appeal & attraction at the foundation. Matthew has design for & collaborated with top companies and is inspired when seeing projects out in everyday life.
What started as a favor for a friend, Matthew's passion for print and pattern design quickly began to grow as more and more clients reached out, requesting work. Starting with the brand IZAYLA, he quickly began to amass a portfolio as season after season clients returned and spread the word via recommendations. Once Matthew began doing textile design for his main employer and seeing large success and popularity in his work, he know this was something he had a hidden love for and will continue to pursue further in his career.
